Pan Bread Pizza

Since I bake my own bread, I am never short of bread but I am short of ideas of how to serve it till I came across this recipe for Pan Bread Pizza.  Check out how it is make by watching this video.

I have also seen how it is made on Facebook.  The cook turned the bread over to brown the other side before adding the tomato sauce and toppings.  As I prefer my bread fried crispier, I have decided to change the instruction as follows:

I should be able to figure out what other kind of toppings I can use to make my Pan Bread Pizza.

Roasted Chicken

Recently, I visited Giant supermarket and managed to buy a roasted chicken for RM10.  Usually they are selling at RM19.90 each.

When I eat roasted chicken, I remove the flesh with a fork and knife so that the bones and skin from the chicken are clean enough to be used for boiling soup.

This is how I make soup stock out of the carcass.

-place carcass in a pot.
-add enough water (or soup) to cover it to boil for at least half an hour.
-sieve out soup stock and discard carcass.

I can use the soup stock to:

-boil porridge with meat from the roasted chicken and flavour it with soya sauce/oyster sauce, garlic oil and white pepper.
-add it to the soup I boil for the day to enhance the flavour.

Recently, I cooked my bell pepper dish again and had some leftovers.

I decided to mix it with some meat from the roasted chicken.

I did not want to heat it up to eat by microwaving or airfrying it as they may become dry.  So, I decided to make puffs out of them.  This is how they turned out after airfrying under setting for making pies.

Kawan is my go to brand for puff pastry.

This time I rolled the pastry up with too much ingredients that, after airfrying them, some of puffs opened up where the ends meet.

Note:  The next time I made it, I placed half a slice of cheddar cheese on the pastry sheet before adding the ingredients to roll up and airfry.  It tasted even better.

Korean Chillie Sauce

I buy CP Korean Popcorn Chicken whenever there is an offer running for it.

The popcorn chicken taste good by itself after it has been air fried, which is the way my daughter loves eating it.  I can also use the meat for making sweet and sour chicken.  So what did I do with the packets of chillie sauce that came with them?  I have been saving them in the fridge.  Recently, I discovered that I can add about 2 tablespoon of the chillie sauce to my bell pepper dish to change its flavour.

Since I did not add meat to this batch of bell peppers dish I made, I decided to add the leftover  pan fried pork cutlet from yesterday, by slicing them up.

Love the way it turned out and brought it to work at eat for lunch.

I wonder if you have noticed that I have placed the metal container in a plastic container.  I usually store my food in metal containers so that it will be easier to heat it up later over a pot of boiling water.  As the food is still hot, it will be difficult for me to handle the metal container.  So I will use a plactic container as an insulator.  This time I made a wrong judgement and use a plastic container which was too small so I was not able to cover it up tightly.  The sauce spilled into the reusable bag and I have to wash it.

So, remember to always use a plastic container that is larger so that both containers can be closed properly.

I like the chillie sauce from CP Korean Popcorn Chicken so much that I started looking out for Korean chillie sauce.  If you are doing the same, don't ever buy Spicy Korean Sauce from Lotus's.  It does not taste anywhere near that from CP.

Korean Street Food Bell Peppers Dish

I shared before how I cooked my Korean Street Food Inspired Bell Peppers Dish.  I cooked them so that my husband can eat them with bread for breakfast.

Recently, I discovered that I can make fried rice with this dish too.  I beat an egg or two into it to cook scrambled egg before adding cooked rice to the mixture to cook.

The dish can also be used to make a pan sheet meal with wraps.  You can see how it is made by watching this video.

Di San Xian: Potato, Eggplant & Pepper Stir Fry (地三鲜)

Discovered a dish shared on Taste Life that has potato, eggplant and bell pepper. All the ingredients my family enjoys eating. It is Di San Xian.  I decided to share the video from Chinese Cooking Demystified as I like the tips shared on preparing the ingredients to be cooked.

This is how I will cook it:

Instead of using lots of oil to deep fry the veggies, I will most likely cut them into slices so that I can air fry them in a round metal container with garlic oil.
