Mummy, the cartoonist!

Mummy discovered ToonDoo today and this is my first effort as a cartoon.

Play around on ToonDoo. Show me how creative you are.

And remember this cartoon and its message:

Ask and You Shall receive: The only way to learn what you can get is by asking for what you want.

Music for my children

This is a good reminder for me to write about the children's piano purchased in February.

These are websites that I had been to while researching brands and models to look into.

Before You Buy Your First Piano by Espie Estrella on About.com

In the end, their father chose a US50 model Kawai because he enjoyed the resonance of the piano when played by the shop owner. It is an upright grand and that means that we do not have to upgrade it as the children progress in their piano lessons.

Based on its S/N 1279742, I discovered from Kawai that it was manufactured during the period of April 1980 - December 1981.

Following are websites that should be useful for my little music learners:

Inspiring creativity

I came across the term "single line drawing" from an email I received from my friend today. I think it is a good style of drawing to introduce my children to as it may spur their creativity to do art differently.

Single line drawing can be as simple as this or...

as complex as this.

More of such drawings can be viewed from YouTube or from "Real Pen Work - Self Instructor in Penmanship", where they can also learn the techniques.

Be inspired.
